Been There, Done That... a bunch of stuff
I could do pages on...
Spent Christmas 2003 in Cienfuegos, Cuba
with my many friends there. Christmas Day we had a traditional Cuban Pigroast.
Some pics can be
seen here...
Visited Granada, Spain summer of 2003.
A trip report can be found
here...
As part of a
College / University partnership, I've been on 2 "away missions" to
Cuba in 2002. Here's
the first
one, and here's
the second
one...
Visited Canterbury, England summer of 2002 where I hooked up with
friends Tom ( a policeman ), and Steve ( retired Fire Brigade ). They fixed me
up with a place to stay, a Harley to use ( both Tom & Steve have Harleys ),
and a full itinery of things to do. Hell'va trip!
Countless bike trips over the last 20
years... albums full of pictures. My longest trip has been 1 month... from the
east coast of Canada, to California, up the coast to British Columbia, and back
across Canada to home. Been to the big bike week in Sturgis, South Dakota,
twice. Lots of party pictures too... but it's the ones of ME in my friends'
photo albums that would be of most interest I'm sure.
Before the
Web, one of my creative sides came out in scale modelling. Canadian &
German aircraft, and sci-fi mostly.
Spent 2 weeks in the USSR, New Year's 1981. Did Moscow, Leningrad
(now St.Petersburg) in the Republic of Russia, and Tashkent, Samarkand, and
Bukhara in the
Republic
of Uzbekistan down next to Afganistan. This was all prior to the fall of
Communism, and the rise of Islamic tensions. Good timing.
Did
skydiving while in University in the 70s. I'd have to list that as the most
exciting thrill I've ever experienced. Try it!!!
As the son of a military man, lived in
Soest, Germany for 3 years in the 60s, back when the Communist Threat was still
real! Saw lots of Europe, and the REAL Iron Curtain.
