Mayor's Chain of Office



Click to enlargeThe Mayor's Chain of Office was a gift from the incumbants of the office, their relations and friends, in 1930. The Chain is worn on the swearing in of the Mayor, and subsequant official functions.

The pendent on the Mayor's Chain of Office is engraved with the Corporate Seal of Saint John and each links represents Mayors from past and present. Each link has an approximate value of one thousand dollars.
