During the 1930s and 1940s one of the most popular winter events in Saint John
occured at the old (and now burned down) Main St. Forum. That was the home of
the Saint John Beavers, a team in the Maritime Senior Hockey League. The
Beavers have changed throughout the years; however, they gave the fans
(numbering 5000 on most nights) many great hockey memories. Here are a few of
the teams and their players that gave Saint Johners so many of those memories.

Over the years there have been many great players that have played for the
beavers. One of the greatest was Gordie Drillon who played for the Beavers in
the 1950s. See if you can find him at the New Brunswick Sports Hall Of Fame,
the Hockey Hall Of Fame, and the Canadian Sports Hall Of Fame.
