The City of Saint John has some of the oldest
buildings in all of North America. The landscape is a cluster of buildings
built over several generations and Lancaster is no exception. Some of
Lancaster's oldest buildings include its post offices. The picture on the right
is of the first Post Office in Lancaster dating back to the 1880s. It was also
the location of Collins Grocery Store. It no longer stands.

These are two pictures of the same
building. The post office on the left is decorated to celebrate the Jubilee of
Confederation on July 1, 1927. The building is now the location of a Deluxe
French Fries restaurant. The picture on the right was taken on March 25, 1998.
