Page 15 Craigie Lea Alexander Jardine was born in February 1814 at Girvan, Scotland. With his brother Robert, they were two of the most influential businessmen in Saint John during the mid-nineteenth century. Alexander Jardine built Craigie Lea around 1859.

Page 17 Keystone Keystone consists of two seperate buildings. The first is very simple in its structure. The second and much more substantial residence, was completed in 1872.
