Partridge
Island is still an operational Coast Guard lightstation. Despite a positive
recommendation from the Historic Sites & Monuments Board of Canada for some
island development, and support from the Province, and no support from the City
of Saint John, and despite efforts from local citizens to make the island
accessible, Partridge Island remains closed to the public.
