Saint John Streetcar

A Forgotten Era of Saint John's History

Streetcars are an all but forgotten part of our heritage.

Most of today's younger generation do not even know that there were streetcars in Saint John, I know I didn't. When I told my grandmother I was doing a web sight on the topic and asked her if she ever rode on one, she replied "I hated those things, they were too bumpy, I rather take the bus". That is the most common memory today of the street cars. This site will take you to the glory days of the Saint John streetcars from beginning to end.
