Once the King and Queen were on the platform the children sang a verse of "A Song of Canada". St. Mary's Band were playing during the presentations and "Oh Canada" was sung upon the departure of the King and Queen.Girl Guides, Boy Scouts, and Wolf Cubs lined the route taken by Their Majesties at the entrance and exit from the Barrack Green. Patients from all the hospitals and the Turnbull home were able to view Their Majesties from seats situated on the rising ground north of the platform. One section of the Barrack Green was reserved for representatives of patriotic, fraternal and other societies.
